There are many. First, you will be deemed to possess a fire-arm without a valid license, which is a punishable offence under the Arms Act. But all the services on your license will be provided by the Licensing authority where it is registered. A license can be registered with one Licensing Authority at a time and that too where you are physically residing.

At the time of actual renewal, you may submit the proof of deposit. On being satisfied, your arm license will be renewed with the condition to produce weapon for inspection within 7 days. On the basis of this renewal, you may get the weapon released and produce the same in this office for inspection immediately. After inspection of weapon, your renewal will be done for the total period as per rules.

As per Rule 24 of Arms Rule 2016, the licensee can apply 60 days in advance prior to expiry of the license.

You can apply within 30 days of the date of expiry of the renewal. In that case, no late fees will be levied. Beyond that, late fees will be charged.

The renewal process can be completed through a person authorized by the licensee in writing but the Licensing Authority may require the personal attendance of the licensee at the time of renewal. Kindly see Rule 24 (6) in this regard.

In all likelihood, you did not inform this office about your criminal involvements or this office has no previous knowledge of these cases/proceedings.
